A Musical Staple in Shipshewana Since 1989

Simple Sounds is located in the small town of Shipshewana, IN in the Davis Mercantile. We were established in 1989 and the current owner, Jennifer Lipscomb, purchased the business in 2015, after 10 years of employment at Simple Sounds. 
It is, by far, the best store in Shipshewana! (Though we might be a little biased.) 

So Much To See!

There's more than meets the eye with everything from hard to find CDs, sheet music, and  hand-tuned wind chimes to unique and unusual instruments along with gifts for those musician family members and friends. We have a friendly, knowledgeable staff that go above and beyond to help every customer. If there is an item you want that we don't have, we will make every attempt to locate it for you. Great customer service is our philosophy!


A Hidden Gem

 Shipshewana is a small Amish community located in northern Indiana. We have about 1.5 million visitors through town in a year. About 20 to 30 thousand is during tourist season alone! Come enjoy the down-to-earth, relaxed pace of Shipshewana and be sure to stop in and visit us!

MEET YOGI!

Yogi is  Shipshewana's furriest police officer, and he's very special to us here at Simple Sounds. In fact, he's so special to us that we wanted to make sure he'd be around for a good long time. So we were honored to buy Yogi his very own K9 bulletproof vest! You can see the story right here!
